“PROMOTING MY ART AND MY LOVE FOR THE ARTS”

BORN: 7/23/1989

ROCHESTER, MN.

I’ve always turned to art as a form of expression. From the intricate murals that adorned my childhood bedroom walls to the diverse mediums I explored in college, my artistic journey has been a quest to understand myself and the world around me.

While attending school I took the opportunity to reclaim my artistic passion. I transformed a tiny spare room in my house into a sanctuary, a place where organized chaos could spill out all over the room. It was there that I discovered the magic of oil paints. The way they moved, the rich textures, the endless possibilities of blending – it was a revelation. That studio became more than just a room as I lost myself for hours in the process of creation.

Transitioning from hobbyist to professional artist wasn't easy, but in 2017, I did it. The first sale, a small cityscape commissioned to a local coffee shop owner, was exhilarating. It wasn't just the money; it was the validation, the feeling that my art resonated with someone else. Since then, I've poured my heart into dozens of pieces, each one beautiful and unique.

But my creative nature wasn't confined to canvas. The allure of storytelling and the joy I’m experiencing as a mother led me down a new path. Two picture books, "A Honeybee's Guide - Learning to Fly" and "My Little Rainbow," are my current passion projects, and I'm thrilled to see them come to life in 2025. The challenge of translating my artistic vision into words and illustrations has been incredibly rewarding.

And lastly there's the sheer joy of seeing my art displayed on walls. There's something visceral about seeing my own original work transform a space. Whether it's oil paint, a multimedia project, or a children's book illustration, I approach each project with the same passion and dedication.

Today, as I cherish the love of my family and embrace the uncertainties of the future, I hold onto one unwavering belief: the power of art to connect us, to heal us, to inspire us. Life throws curveballs, but I cling to the belief that I am an artist, and my purpose is to create beauty in the world, one vibrant splash of color at a time. I hope that my paintings resonate with you, evoke emotions, and perhaps even spark a little bit of magic in your own life. As an artist that is the greatest gift I could ask for."
